TappedIn ("we", "us") is an app for sharing drink and food prices at bars. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address (or the identifier Apple provides if you use Sign in with Apple), display name, @handle, optional bio, and optional profile photo.
- What you post: prices you log (bar, item, price, optional rating), videos and captions, comments, likes, and messages you send to other users.
- Friends and blocks: friend requests, friendships, and users you block.
- Location: with your permission, your device's location is used on your phone to show nearby bars, distances, and whether you're at a bar. We don't store a history of your location. If you suggest a new bar, the location you're at when you submit it is sent with the suggestion.
- Notifications: if you allow notifications, we store your device's push token so we can tell you when someone likes your posts.
- Camera, microphone, photos: used only when you choose to record a video or pick a profile photo.
What other people can see
Your display name, @handle, bio, profile photo, the prices you log, your videos, comments and likes are visible to other TappedIn users. Your email address is never shown to other users. Messages are visible only to you and the person you're messaging.
How we use it
To run the app: show prices and price history, power the map and feeds, connect you with friends, deliver messages and notifications, keep accounts secure, and moderate content that breaks our Terms. We don't sell your personal information and we don't use it for advertising.
Service providers
We use these providers to operate TappedIn; they process data only on our behalf:
- Supabase: sign-in and profile photo storage
- Railway: our servers and database
- Cloudflare: video hosting and streaming
- Apple: Sign in with Apple and push notifications
- Our email provider: account and password-reset emails
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Settings → Delete Account), which removes your account and profile. You can also email us to request a copy or deletion of your data.
Age
TappedIn is only for people who are of legal drinking age (21+ in the United States). We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date above and let you know in the app.
